1 Corinthians 5:1-8:13

There are things that upset me in Corinth. The church is flawed from within.
You have disobedient members, and you simply make light of their sin.

These are not folks without understanding. They know full well what they do.
When your brothers within, live in that kind of sin, and you let them, the sin is on you.

We live in a world that hates Jesus. Of course, you're with folks who reject.
But don't make them your friends or call them your church. Their lives give God no respect.

When two members disagree with each other, don't let the lost world decide.
Don't take them to court, to a judge without God. You're a family. Keep these matters inside.

Remember we're the family of Jesus. We're his temple; his body on earth.
Therefore, run from each sin. Don't disgrace God within. Live holy. Remember your worth.

Therefore, church, avoid fornication. Keep chased; maybe single like me.
But if not, then marry, and honor your mate. That is how God made marriage to be.

Now some here are Jews, and some are Gentiles. But with God we're one in the same.
Your physical family makes no difference to God, as long as you're called by his name.

Now concerning meat offered to idols, in the shambles it's sold for a meal.
Some say that you're wrong if you eat it. Others say it's a wonderful deal.

Can the idol defile the meat? An idol is nothing at all.
Of course it cannot, so don't give it a thought, unless it will make someone fall.

You see, some people think it's a sin. They would disobey God if they eat.
Even though they are wrong, I tell you that are strong, don't offend that one who is weak.
