1 Corinthians 9:1-11:34

Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen our Lord?
Should Barnabas and I not be sustained by our ministry in the word?

But my service has been without charge. I worked to provide for my keep.
I made myself a servant to you. Though I sowed, I did not reap.

We're told not to muzzle the ox, who works to tread out the corn.
But I wish to set an example, as my own burdens I've born.

The scriptures provide these accounts, that we should learn thereby.
Become all things to all men. Learn to serve even as I.

Consider the scriptural record. In the desert did Israel obey?
They murmured, complained, worshiped idols. You are tempted in much the same way.

God allows you no temptation, but such as common to man.
God will always make a way to escape if we will follow His plan.

Therefore follow me, my dear children, as you live this Christian life.
Conduct yourself while you worship, as God's holy and loving wife.

We don't come together to promote ourselves. It is Jesus we honor and preach.
When you worship dress respectfully. Don't clash with what nature would teach.

We remember our Lord with the bread and the cup. It reminds of His death for our sin.
Do so in a sharing, respectful way. Never cease to give honor to Him.
