Seven Churches
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him from heaven. To the churches there in Asia. Specifically the seven. Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos; are you getting the idea? Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and finally Laodicea. John saw these seven candlesticks. In the midst, the Son of man. Clothed in gold with eyes of flame. Seven stars were in his hand. The seven stars are angels. Their meaning John did search. The candlesticks were named above. Each one of them a church. Ephesus left it's first love. Smyrna suffered sore. Pergamos needed to repent. Thyatira maybe more. They had a lady prophetess, leading folks astray. Sardis needed to be watchful. They slept both night and day. Philadelphia was a good church. They patiently persevered. Laodicea, neither hot or cold. That's why they disappeared. But they had another option. Jesus Christ stood at their door. If they would open, he would save that church forevermore. Then John looked round in heaven. A throne with beasts and men. God's spirit in the midst, and all did worship him. A book was by the throne. With seals none could loose. No man in heaven or earth. Even trying was no use. Then stood up the Lamb of God. The elders sung a song. The Lamb is worthy to open the book, sealed for so long.
