Genesis 15:1-Genesis 17:27

God made Abram a very great man.
He whipped four kings, he had servants and land.

He had sheep and oxen and wealth by the ton,
but he did not have a daughter or son.

Abram said, God I don't have a child.
God said, Abram let me show you something wild.

God took Abram out on a starry night,
and said look at the sky and the stars shining bright.

Try to count them 1, 2, 3.
They stretch in the heavens, farther then you can see.

You don't have a son and that makes you cry,
you're gonna have more children then the stars in the sky.

Abram believed but he didn't understand.
His wife Sarai wasn't young and he was an old man.

So he had a son by Hagar, a suggestion of his wife.
Hagar then hated Sarai. It almost cost her life.

Sarai treated Hagar mean and Hagar ran away.
God said, Hagar return, and then try to obey.

Hagar went back, and bare Abram a son.
His name was Ishmael, but he was not the one.

God said Abram no longer. Now your name is Abraham.
You will have a son named Isaac, and he will be the man.

My covenant will be with him, throughout eternity.
Through Isaac came the Savior. The one who set us free.
