John 2:13-3:36

Jesus and disciples went down to Jerusalem.
He came into the temple. The Passover was at hand.

He found oxen, sheep and doves with the money changers there.
They made God's house a place of cheats, and not a house of prayer.

He overthrew their tables. Their money he cast out.
Who authorized this temple purge they ask him with a shout.

You want a sign I'll give you one. Clean up your wretched ways.
Destroy this temple. I'll raise it up, and do it in three days.

Why building this took 46 years. They full missed what he said.
He was speaking of his body, that he'd raise up from the dead.

Many believed as Jesus taught them, healed the lame and gave blind sight.
Even a Pharisee wanted to meet him but he'd have to come by night.

He said we know you've come from God I must admit to you.
Even we rulers can't deny the wondrous miracles you do.

Jesus looked at him, a man, trying to atone his sin.
Jesus said you'll not ere catch a glimpse until you're born again.

But that does not make sense. Born again I'm being told?
How can this be, you're telling me, to be born when I'm old?

You're thinking physical. Think spiritual my friend.
I've told you once, I'll tell you twice, you must be born again.

Remember in the wilderness, the serpent lifted high.
So likewise I'll be lifted up. Believe and you'll not die.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
Believe by faith this gift of God is free to everyone.

Then some of John's disciples ask if Jesus was the one.
He must increase I must decrease. Jesus is God's only son.
