Daniel 3:1-3:30

Now, remember the king of Babylon had tested the wisemen's worth.
Daniel showed him the God of heaven, was the only God on earth.

The image represented the future. Nebuchadnezzar the golden head.
The king made an image not of metals, but made it all gold instead.

He thought he'd outsmarted God. He would reign for eternity.
He set up the image and told all his subjects, bow down and worship me.

But Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, to the king they would not bow.
The other wise men saw their chance. We'll kill these three men now.

Fact is, the others wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for these men.
They prayed with Daniel and stopped the king, from killing all wisemen.

How soon the king forgot that God showed the dream upon his bed.
And the wise men didn't appreciate without these three they'd all be dead.

So the King was very angry as he spoke with Daniel's friends.
Bow down and worship or in that fire, each of you will meet your ends.

No way they said. It's a no-brainer. We'll never worship you.
Heat the furnace hotter than it's ever been. We'll see what your God can do.

So they stoked the furnace seven times hotter then it'd ever been stoked before.
The mighty men who threw them in fell dead upon the floor.

But when the king looked in the fire he couldn't believe his evil eye.
We threw three in, but now there's four, and none of them will die.

Their clothes aren't burned. Their hair not singed. With shoes their feet still shod.
And joining another who looks like the son of God.

For the second time Nebuchadnezzar saw the God to whom he should bow.
He again promoted Daniel's friends. Will the king obey God now?
