Amazing Grace
When I consider myself and my sin, See, I know me far better then you. It is easy to put on an air around men, But with God I'm compelled to be true. So when I consider what really I am While others see only this shell, I'm humbled to realize I've never fooled Him, Yet Jesus still suffered my hell. And thus I'm bewildered God's love to explore Uncontained e're on land or in sea, But I understand now why the writer of yore Sung of grace that saves wretches like me. Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now I'm found; Was blind but now I see. Return To Index |
